What the scoreboard tracks for indoor soccer
For indoor soccer, the clock starts at 20 minutes: 2 halves, with Start, Pause and Reset, and a horn when a half ends. Each goal is +1; −1 or "Undo" wipes out a goal given by mistake. A timeout counter follows each team.
When the clock of the second half reaches 0, the game ends unless it is tied. If it is, it all depends on "If tied". With "Ask me", two buttons show up under the clock: "Overtime" and "End (tie)". With "Overtime", 5 more minutes are waiting, clock paused. With "Tie", the game stops there.
A goal in overtime does not end the game: overtime runs to the end of its clock, unless you tap "End game". Your gym gives you 50 minutes? Set the length of the halves and of the overtime in "Game settings".
The clock can be fixed while it is paused: tap it to enter the time left, or take off and add one minute at a time. At the end, the final score card gives the score of each half, ready to copy or share with your group.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play 25 minute halves?
Yes. A half can last 1 to 60 minutes: enter 25 in "Half length (min)", under "Game settings". The current half's clock follows if it has not run yet.
Can the game end in a tie?
Yes. Pick "Tie" in "If tied": the game ends tied as soon as the clock of the last half reaches 0. With "Ask me", you choose at the time.
Are there penalties like in hockey?
No. For indoor soccer, the scoreboard counts each team's goals and timeouts, with no timed penalties. For 2 and 5 minute penalties, pick ball hockey in "Sport".
