For your subs
No app, no account, no password. A personal link lets them change their dates or leave the pool. A few days before each game, an email asks them: "Are you free?"
For your captains
The team link shows the subs free for the next game, with their level and position. One tap on "Invite" and the sub gets the invitation.
Your league decides
Automatic calls, the pool, or both. The pool is open to every team, or each sub belongs to one team. The levels are yours: A, B, C or other names.

Does it cost extra?
No. The sub pool is included in every plan, the free plan too.
Do subs need an account?
No. They sign up with a short form, confirm their email and answer from the emails. No app, no password.
Do captains need to install anything?
No. Their team's link is enough: they see the free subs there and invite them from it.
